Bullying

We want all of our students to feel safe at Y.A.L.E. School. We don’t allow students to bully, harass, or intimidate a classmate or the staff.

Here’s what we do to help make our school safe for everyone:

  • We teach skills that students need to resolve conflicts via weekly social skills classes.
  • Teachers and counselors help students practice those learned skills in weekly clubs, so students can interact with each other respectfully.
  • Each campus has an anti-bullying specialist to help if a problem occurs, and students are encouraged to report any bullying they experience or see.
  • Students can fill out a Bullying Form and give it to a teacher.

Laptop Policy

At the start of the school year, all students agree to use technology appropriately and follow school rules. Students who need a laptop at home for school assignments, projects, and nightly homework should have their parents email their teacher. Any student given a laptop to use at home must still follow school rules and return the laptop at the end of the school year.

Google Classroom

Teachers may use Google Classroom to post information like videos or links to websites. They may also assign projects or homework in Google Classroom. If you are not sure how to use Google Classroom, watch a video that will help you.

Have a writing assignment in Google Classroom? Here’s a video to help.

Tech videos are a great way to get help from home! Have an idea for a tech video? Email Mr. James!
