Our programs are fully approved and monitored by the New Jersey Department of Education and comply with state and federal rules and regulations as well as New Jersey Student Learning Standards.

Most students at Y.A.L.E. School are referred by their local school district.
They attend at no cost to parents.

History
Established in 1976, Y.A.L.E. School was founded by professionals who believed that students with disabilities deserved a responsive and effective learning environment.
Curriculum
Our curriculum prepares each student with the knowledge and skills to become an independent and responsible citizen.
Academics
We use evidence-based teaching methods to maximize each student’s opportunity for intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
Social and Emotional Development
Throughout the day, our staff engages students in activities designed to teach and practice social skills and social problem solving.
Transition
Students have weekly instruction in transition areas including daily living skills, financial literacy, self-determination, and employment skills following.
