Hybrid Learning with New School Hours Begins September 29th, 2020

Fall Greetings to our Y.A.L.E. School Family!

Many thanks to parents, students and sending districts for contributing to a fantastic first month back. Faculty have shared that Y.A.L.E. students are adjusting well to the return to instruction.  Our students are also enjoying the social opportunities within the school day.

With such a positive beginning to the new school year, we are now looking forward to the long-awaited return to in-person instruction for those who selected this option during the online registration process.

All parents are asked to read the information below, as this next phase impacts all students:

1) Effective Tuesday, September 29th, the hybrid phase of the Y.A.L.E. Reopening Plan begins with a modified half-day schedule for most Y.A.L.E. students.*

2) Whether continuing in 100% remote instruction or participating in the hybrid in-person option as selected by the parent, students follow the half day schedule by campus:

NEW Y.A.L.E. SCHOOL HOURS as of September 29th

  •  *Mullica Campus –In-person learning NOT AVAILABLE at this time due to mold closure. Hours remain 8:45 am to 2:30 pm.

3) Students whose parents selected the hybrid option will have on-campus instruction on MONDAY, TUESDAY, THURSDAY and FRIDAY.

4) WEDNESDAY will be a remote day for all students to allow for deep cleaning of facilities.

5) Students must bring their own water bottle(s) each day.

6) Due to heightened COVID-19 risks and advisories, students attending in-person instruction will not eat lunch at school.

7) All students participating in on-campus instruction must have a signed COVID-19 Pre-Screening Attestation Form returned with their emergency and medical packet prior to September 29th.

8) As part of the pre-screening and parent attestation process, parents will notify the school nurse or homeroom teacher if a student has traveled to any other state that is currently listed on the NJDOH state advisory list.

9) Parents of students attending Y.A.L.E. School in-person instruction as of September 29th should verify district transportation arrangements as soon as possible, noting half-day school hours for start time and school pick-up.

Parents and guardians will find helpful resources on the WELCOME BACK page of the Y.A.L.E. School website (www.yaleschoolnj.com), including FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.  Homeroom teachers will also be happy to assist at any time.  Thank you for your continued support as Y.A.L.E. School takes another significant step forward in the reopening process.

Warmly,

Y.A.L.E. School Administrative Team
