Letter From Administration (09/08/2022)

September 8, 2022

Dear Parents and Students:

On behalf of the entire faculty we welcome you to Y.A.L.E. School for the 2022-2023 school year. We have exciting and rewarding learning experiences planned and look forward to seeing our students back again with their teachers and friends.

We would like to begin the year by providing a few guidelines and recommendations to make this a safe and healthy return-to-school:

  • Please refer to the Y.A.L.E. School website for the current COVID-19 Decision Tree based on current community levels.
  • If you are a parent of a new Y.A.L.E. student, please be sure to sign the Parent/Student Attestation form included in the Welcome packet sent to you in August.
  • If your student is returning to Y.A.L.E., we require all parents to review the Daily Pre-Screening for COVID-19 protocols that were mailed along with the welcome materials.
  • To access local mental health services and counseling go to Care Solace.

Y.A.L.E. School will also be offering numerous opportunities throughout the year to support parents and guardians.  Two examples follow. We hope you’ll save the dates and continue to watch the Y.A.L.E. School website events page for details and more events to come:

  • Multi-Campus Parents Support Group Meeting – Cherry Hill, Medford, Standard 9, Erlton/CLiKS, Y.A.L.E. Philadelphia/autism classes. Topic: Stress Management. Monday, September 19, 7 – 8 p.m. To register go to yaleschoolnj.com/events.
  • Suicide Prevention Training for Parents – Save the Date for this virtual event on January 23, 2023 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. To register go to yaleschoolnj.com/events.

We encourage parents and guardians to reach out to homeroom teachers and the school office at their campus to suggest topics of interest. Our goal is to meet your needs by providing resources and opportunities that will help make the 2022-2023 school year beneficial to the entire Y.A.L.E. School community. Many thanks for helping to keep our school family safe, healthy, and informed in the months ahead.

Sincerely,

The Y.A.L.E. School Administrative Team
